Plano Breast Augmentation
Sam Jejurikar, MD Plano Breast Augmentation Specialist
Breast augmentation is the most popular surgical procedure for women after liposuction. Women who have smaller and/or asymmetrical breasts, as well as women who have lost volume and/or elasticity due to pregnancy and breastfeeding are the best candidates.
There are many decisions women must consider in having breast augmentation surgery one is do you choose saline or silicone and what implant type – do you choose saline or silicone. Dr. Jejurikar may insert either type of breast implant through one of the various incision locations; these are discussed during a consultation. The implant placement is then determined based on the patient’s anatomy and desired outcome. Breast implants may be placed either in the subglandular (under the breast tissue), submuscular (under the muscle wall), or dual plane position. When performing the dual plane technique, Dr. Jejurikar places the implants two-thirds under the muscle medially and one-third above the muscle along the lateral third of the breast.
To ensure proper healing and avoid unnecessary complications, patients must to follow all instructions provided by Dr. Jejurikar . This includes refraining from any and all physical activity following surgery up to 6-8 weeks. Additional details pertaining to breast implant surgery may be obtained during a visit with our breast augmentation surgeon.
