Anatomic or smooth round? Textured? Low profile or high? What is moderate profile plus? Selecting your breast implant shape is as important as selecting its size, but the variety of options available can be confusing. I am here to help you understand the shapes and properties of different breast implants and guide you in deciding which ones best suit your body type and desired outcome—whether it’s breast enlargement, breast lift, more defined cleavage, or modest breast reconstruction. Find out more on the Implant Shape page.
What size scar will you have, and where will it be located? This is an important question for many patients considering breast implants. From around the nipple to through the belly button, we will talk about the advantages and disadvantages of each incision method and how they apply to you. I talk about this in greater detail on the Incisions page.
Finally, the most famous question of all: silicone or saline? Now that silicone breast implants have been proven safe for women over 22, patients undergoing breast augmentation with implants face a difficult choice. Both silicone implants and saline implants have their risks and benefits. I discuss some of these on the Silicone/Saline page, and will talk about them with you during your consultation.
