Breast Augmentation Cost
Dr. Jejurikar commonly performs breast augmentation surgery for patients from greater Dallas area and the costs range from $5000 to $7000. Prices vary depending on the extensiveness of the procedure, the length of the procedure, silicone versus saline implants, and the costs of the surgical facility and anesthesia. Because Dr. Jejurikar is a board certified plastic surgeon, unlike some cosmetic surgeons, he is credentialed to perform breast augmentation in licensed surgical facilities. Although it is more expensive than so-called “awake breast augmentation,” it provides for a more comfortable and safer experience for patients. If a breast lift is required, this will add to the cost, as it will increase Dr. Jejurikar’s fee, the surgical facility fee and the anesthesia fee.
Dr. Jejurikar utilizes a supplemental health insurance program (CosmetAssure) for his patients, only available to board certified plastic surgeons. It adds a nominal fee to the procedure, but covers the costs associated with a potential complication; standard health insurance policies will not do this. This program is not available to cosmetic surgeons who are not board certified plastic surgeons; if your surgeon is not using it, make sure you know why.
