Case of the Month | September
October 1, 2011Dr. Jejurikar’s patient at Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute is a 49-year-old woman who developed droopiness of the breast and loss of breast fullness after multiple pregnancies. She breastfed her children and after she stopped, lost most of her breast fullness. She desired breast augmentation and breast lift (mastopexy) to correct these changes.
She was leery of longer stars than can be associated with a traditional breast lift. She underwent breast lift with a circumareolar incision (incision around the areola, which is the pigmented skin surrounding the nipple) and insertion of 350 cc silicone high profile implants. She is seen 4 months after surgery with perkier and fuller breasts.
