Options in Breast Surgery
Women who choose to have breast augmentation surgery to enhance their breast size and/or shape. Perfect candidates are those who have smaller and/or asymmetrical breasts, as well as individuals who have lost volume due to pregnancy and breastfeeding.
One factor Dr J will discuss with you in breast implant consultation is implant type – saline or silicone gel filled. Dr. J may insert either type of breast implant through one of the different incision locations. The implant placement is then determined based on the patient’s anatomy and desired outcome. Breast implants may be placed either in the subglandular (under the breast tissue) or submuscular (under the muscle wall).
To ensure recovery and lesson the risk of complications, patients of Dr J are urged to follow all instructions provided by Dr. J. This will include refraining from physical activity for at least a few weeks post-surgery.
